Sarma S. Challa M.D., F.A.C.C., P.A.

Dr. Sarma S. Challa is an interventional cardiologist who is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. In addition to his certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Challa has also received a Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Diseases. As part of his educational journey, Dr. Challa earned degrees from Andhra University and Guntur Medical College, and he completed post-graduate work from Government General Hospital, Detroit-Macomb Hospital Association and Pontiac General Hospital. Currently, Dr. Challa is Chief of Cath Lab at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, Chairman of the Coronary Care Unit/Intensive Care Unit Committee at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and a member of the Quality Assurance Committee for Angioplasty at Methodist Hospital. He is also currently an Assistant in Clinical Medicine for the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Challa is a member of the Harris County Medical Society and holds a fellowship with the American College of Cardiology.



Fayez Hadidi, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Fayez Hadidi is board-certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology and cardiology. He earned his doctoral degrees from Louisiana State University and Texas State. Dr. Hadidi concluded his residency and fellowship from the prestigious Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Currently, Dr. Hadidi holds professional affiliations with San Jacinto Methodist Hospital (Baytown, Texas) and St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital (Houston, Texas). When he’s not helping patients with his skill as a physician, Dr. Hadidi can be found at home enjoying his family which includes his loving wife and six children.


 


Edward W. Leahey, M.D., P.A., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Edward W. Leahey is a cardiovascular disease specialist with board certifications in internal medicine, nuclear medicine and cardiology. He graduated with honors from Dalhousie University in 1976 with a doctorate in medicine. His medical training also includes a cardiology fellowship from the University of Texas, and his internal medicine residency with both the University of Texas (Houston, Texas) and Victoria general Hospital (Halifax, Nova Scotia). Dr. Leahey’s highlighted certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine (1988), the Cardiovascular Subspecialty Board (1989), a Diplomat in Interventional Cardiology (2000) and Federal Regulations in Human Research (UCLA, 2007). Dr. Leahey currently sits with appointments from Hermann Hospital and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. When Dr. Leahey isn’t practicing medicine he enjoys the sport of travel fishing.


 


Shehzad Sami, M.D.

Dr. Sami is an interventional cardiologist who is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiology. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B, B.S) from the Aga Khan University Medical College (top 10% of his class). Dr. Sami performed his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Training, Cardiology Fellowship Training and Internal Medicine Residency Training at the world-class University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. In addition to his vast achievements in medicine, Dr. Sami is an accomplished athlete in field hockey and tennis.



Rashid M. Siddiqi, M.D.

Dr. Siddiqi is a specialist in general cardiology, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. He completed residency and internship in 1993, at Lincoln Medical Health Center in New York. His education continued in Interventional and General Cardiology in 1993-1997. Dr. Siddiqi also attended Kasser Permanente in Los Angeles, California, for fellowship in Electrophysiology. Dr. Siddiqi started working in a group practice, office base facility, 1999-2001, in Alexandria, Louisiana, as a staff physician. In 2001, he became a staff physician at the Cardiac Electrophysiology department of Kasser Permanente in Los Angeles. Dr. Siddiqi then continued to move his education to New York, as he worked with a group of physicians in a private office. In 2005, Dr. Siddiqi, moved to Baytown, Texas and became an attending cardiologist at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and The Methodist Hospital, were he was a Physician with a group practice. Currently, Dr. Siddiqi has continued his private practice and is an attending Interventional Cardiologist at multiple hospitals in the Houston and surrounding areas. He currently sits on the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
